It’s Not Your Fault

Hey, how’s it going?

So since it’s Friday and you’re ready to get on with your weekend, I thought about a couple of things that have really been bothering me and wondered if you were having some difficulties rationalizing them too.

This past week has been an eye opener for me. I learned that from all my dilegence and research that I was wrong about some things. I realized that in order for me to maintain my professionalism and ethics, I would have to own up to the misinformation and inform my clients about the correct way to do things. I couldn’t be negligent with their needs, their health and lifestyle. After all, it would be my fault if I didn’t….right?

Accountability is something that we are all responsible for. If this simple check and balance is not in place, a great many things can occur. From theft and greed, to the gross management of someone’s life that would lead to their demise or ultimate death. So whose fault is it when you don’t have all the information about your diabetes? Yours? Your Doctor? Pharmaceutial Company?

All of the Above! Now, I know what you are thinking…”Jeremy is on the soapbox, telling me that I don’t have all the information that I need to cope with my diabetes.” I am actually telling you that you have just enough information to cope with your diabetes…not get rid of it!

It’s not your fault that:

You don’t know the right questions to ask
Your doctors continue to treat your symptoms
Your monthly medication costs are rising
You experience mood swings due to medicating

Your constant change in eating habits are making you depressed
Your Diabetes is Not Improving
You get sick and it takes longer to get rid of illness
You’re having trouble sleeping
You find that you are prone to having accidents in your clothes (#2!)
You’re thinking of suicide
You want to end this pain
You think I’m nuts

For the established reasons, the base that medical practices and what would be considered the normal course of action, much of what I am saying to you would seem like a conspiracy theory…when in fact it’s not.

I care about your wellbeing just as I care about my father, my brother and sister, my niece that go through (and have gone through and paid the ultimate price) the pain, the emotional valleys of dealing with sacrificing their lives on the account of “coping” with a curable disease. I don’t want you to die, I want you to live.

Live so you can embrace your life and touch those around you. Share your gift, your talents given to you with the world. Enrich a childs life and share that spark that exists within you to open a door to another realm for someone. Become an educator and understand that life is not defined in maintaining, it is defined in accomplishment and ever seeking higher degrees of capacity within ones self.

You should know by now that I would die for you. My life is pointless if I am not truthful with you and provide you with the tools required to assist you to reverse and eliminate your diabetes. I’ve watched you fight for too long to gain zero ground in defeating this disease. I plan to help you get rid of it…whether your doctor, pharmacist or pharmaceutial provider like it or not. My life is worth risking for you because you mean more to me living than you do to them as a consumer. I Love You and all that you represent. It’s not your fault.
Have a great weekend.

Yours In Success,
Jeremy

Macrobiotics – Part Two

Hello there!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far! Today I’m bringing you part two of two on Macrobiotics.

Some studies reveal that following a Macrobiotic eating strategy has helped many people lower their levels of blood pressure and serum lipids. This is why some experts suggest that this kind of eating strategy can also be used as an effective means of preventing the emergence of many cardiovascular diseases.

Many experts also believe that a macrobiotic eating strategy can also serve as a valuable inclusion in a cancer prevention plan. However, the macrobiotic eating strategy remains the subject of controversy as many experts doubt its benefits when practiced by people who have diagnosed malignancies.

On the other hand, many anecdotal reports claim that its therapeutic effects are remarkable to patients who are suffering from advanced cancer diseases. But, to date very few research and studies have been conducted that would prove or disprove the benefits of a macrobiotic eating plan.  Further studies are warranted in order to prove its effectiveness in cancer prevention. Other concerns expressed by some experts include those factors that affect social limitations and nutritional deficiencies. However it is difficult to dispute the long term health benefits of any eating strategy which is based on the consumption of organic and locally grown foods.

I hope you have found this interesting and have a different opinion about natural healing alternatives. Its not all Dr Quinn medicine woman, sometimes the key to enlightenment to reverse aging and the more aggressive diseases that we encounter is right in our own backyard, oceans or farmers market!

Have an awesome weekend!
Thanks for reading.

Macrobiotics – Part One

Happy Friday!

Today I want to share the first of a two part blog on Macrobiotics.

What are Macrobiotics?

Macrobiotics refers to the science of longevity and health.  It is based on the view that each person is largely influenced by his environment and social interactions as well as the geography and climate of the place where he lives in.

Macrobiotics also views illnesses as the body’s attempt to return to a more dynamic and harmonious state with nature. It also highly stresses the importance of a healthy diet as one of the major factors that affect one’s health and well-being. Therefore, a macrobiotic strategy not only refers to one’s daily food consumption but it also embraces the importance of living with healthy lifestyle habits for the long term.

What Foods Are Included In A Macrobiotic Eating Strategy?

Macrobiotic eating strategy prioritizes locally grown foods which are prepared in a natural manner. Undertaking a macrobiotic eating strategy also means taking extra care in the way the foods are being prepared and cooked.  There is a strong emphasis on eating foods that are baked, boiled and steamed and little fried and processed foods.

Whole grains, vegetables, fermented soy, fish, nuts, soups, seeds and fruits are the main composition of a macrobiotic eating strategy. Other natural food products can also be incorporated in the eating routine. The composition of a macrobiotic eating strategy can be altered in order to suit an individual’s needs with much consideration to his health status. People who are into a macrobiotic eating strategy must condition themselves to eat slowly and chew their food thoroughly.

What Foods Are NOT considered Macrobiotics?

Since a macrobiotic eating strategy strongly recommends that foods must be eaten in their most natural state, processed foods should be avoided. Fatty meats, dairy products, sugar, caffeine, refined flour, alcohol, poultry, zucchini and potatoes are some examples of foods that should not be included in the macrobiotic eating strategy.  Remember that macrobiotics aims to achieve balance in every aspect of your life.  Therefore, those foods which were found to be too extreme, highly-concentrated and over stimulating must also be eliminated in your daily eating routine.

In part two on Macrobiotics, I will talk a bit more about studies and research that shows adopting this type of strategy has a direct link to lowering blood sugar as well as cancer fighting properties.

To Juice or Not to Juice…

Juicing extracts the best from fresh fruits or vegetables. Your body can absorb the nutrients better and it gives your digestive system a rest from working on fiber.

It can also reduce your risk of many diseases including diabetes and cancer, boost your immune system, help you remove toxins from your body, aid digestion, and help you lose weight.

And if you don’t enjoy eating fresh fruits and vegetables, juicing can be a fun way to add them to your eating strategy or to try fruits and vegetables you normally wouldn’t eat.

Here is my personal top 10 experiences I like about Juicing

1. I could think more clearly
2. I lost a lot of weight – about 20kg in 40 days
3. I found myself full of energy
4. I was more consistently positive and cheerful, no matter what come my way
5. I would wake up feeling sharp and well rested, even if I had less sleep
6. The juices flooded my body with so much nutrients, I rarely felt hungry
7. I also noticed a heightened sense of taste and smell
8. My skin started to glow, my hair and nails grew faster.
9. My immune function was at its peak, and I didn’t catch a single cold or get sick
10.The discipline of juicing gave me greater control over my appetite and boosted my will power in general.

If you have any questions about juicing or want to get started, leave me a comment or email.

Take care!
