Another day and an idea
Hello WP family! Hope everyone is doing awesome and may already be in bed. I just finished watching the New York Jets defeat the Colts 17-16 in a really solid game. The second half of the game reminded me of something that sometimes gets overlooked in fitness and training. It is one word that can be lost in sets and reps. What is the word you ask? Variety. Just like the game this evening, the Jets kept the same gameplan and began to throw some wrinkles or variety at the colts to completely manhandle them at the line of scrimmage. For you and every fitness professional, it is the ability to manhandle the body in such a way that it does not get comfortable. The way we do it is a technique called muscle confusion which allows us and you to control your body’s “line of scrimmage.”
I spent a portion of the afternoon thinking about ways to incorporate more variety and also to not just exercise the mind and body, but also to open my clients and campers up to have the best time ever. I think that it’s important to get a solid workout in but to enjoy it as much as possible. Over the next couple of weeks, I will finalize some plans to create this buzz and we’ll see where it goes.
